The well-known NDSM shipyard in North Amsterdam inspired the designers of studio APE to create the NDSM chair. The yard is known for its iconic harbor cranes, which have become a signature part of its industrial aesthetic and cultural heritage. The wooden legs of the chair are a direct reference to harbor cranes and the hull of a ship was the source behind the inspiration for the rounded backrest.

The matching upholstered bouclé seat offers the NDSM chair complete comfort.
The NDSM chair comes flat packed and is designed to be assembled without any hassle, easily assembled with just four screws.
